Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ghana is interested in Ukrainian drones and is ready to finance their production. Ukraine is ready to help Ghana ensure the security of its borders.
President Zelenskyy announced this on the X social network following a telephone conversation with Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama.
According to Zelensky, Ghana is interested in bilateral cooperation with Ukraine.
“We discussed areas where we can already deepen our partnership, primarily in the agro-industrial sector and the creation of a food logistics center in Ghana. Ghana is also interested in our technologies, the production of various types of drones, and the experience that Ukraine gained during this war. Ghana is ready to finance our production, and we are ready to help our partners ensure the security of their borders,” the president said.
Zelensky also announced that he and the President of Ghana had agreed to a meeting at the ministerial level, and a delegation from Ukraine would soon visit Ghana.
Ghana is a country in West Africa, formerly known as the Gold Coast. The country has large reserves of gold. The gold value chain in Ghana encompasses the entire process from mining to processing and export, and the government has recently taken steps to centralize the trade and combat smuggling.
