The collapse of a multi-story building reportedly killed multiple people.
The Belta news agency reported the incident, citing the Russian publication TASS.
The latter, in turn, refers to local media.
Thus, the Vanguard newspaper reports that the building under construction in question was located in the Ojodu area.
The collapse occurred on Saturday morning, April 19.
According to eyewitnesses, many workers and passers-by were trapped under the rubble.
Search and rescue operations are currently underway at the scene.
It is known that on the first floor of the unfinished building there was a popular catering establishment among the townspeople.
There were people in the restaurant at the time of the collapse.
As for the number of injured and dead, exact figures have not yet been announced.
Some publications say that at least 20 people died.
