It has become known that Army General and Hero of Russia Sergei Surovikin is on another special mission and is currently serving in Africa.
Since the end of June this year, nothing has been known about the general's fate.
On October 11, one of the most respected military leaders of the Russian Armed Forces turns 58, URA.RU reports.

In an attempt to send congratulations, journalists discovered that Sergei Vladimirovich was on a special mission in Africa.
The general represents Russia's interests and is doing well, the statement said.
Sergei Surovikin's acquaintances shared information and photographs with journalists.
The officer earned the title of Hero of Russia in Syria.
He then headed the Russian Aerospace Forces.
In the fall of 2022, Sergei Surovikin took command of the Joint Forces Group in Ukraine, after which the so-called “Surovikin Line” was erected, which prevented a counteroffensive by the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the advance of Ukrainian troops into Crimea.
Since 2023, General of the Army Sergei Surovikin has been serving in the strategically important African direction for Russia.
In May, he was reported to be in the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria.
His name disappeared from the news after the general appealed to the Wagner PMC rebels at the end of June to stop.
