As a result of repatriation measures, the bodies of 1,000 deceased citizens were returned to Ukraine from Russia on October 23. According to the Russian side, they belong to Ukrainian servicemen.
As Delo.ua writes, this was reported by the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War.
It is noted that in the near future, law enforcement investigators, together with expert institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, will carry out all necessary examinations and identify the repatriated bodies.

The repatriation took place thanks to the coordinated work of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, the Security Service of Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, ombudsmen, the State Emergency Service, and other structures of the security and defense sector.

The Coordination Headquarters thanked the International Committee of the Red Cross for its assistance, as well as the military, who transported and transferred the bodies to the appropriate institutions.
As a reminder, on September 18, the bodies of 1,000 dead citizens were returned to Ukraine from Russia. According to the Russian side, they belong to Ukrainian servicemen.
