After days of speculation, the Japanese company Sega looks likely to finalise the acquisition of the Finnish company Rovio Entertainment known for its Angry Birds brand.

Rovio’s board of directors supported the tender offer of €706 million by Sega, according to Reuters. Commenting on the deal to MTV3, one of the original founders of Rovio Peter Vesterbacka, who is going to pocket around €4 million from the sale, said it will energise and benefit both companies.
