Hark, US AI Firm, Secures $700M+ with $6B Price Tag

The American startup Hark, which is involved in the creation of AI-driven devices and software, has secured more than $700 million in Series A funding. Following this investment, the firm's valuation has climbed to $6 billion, inclusive of the funds acquired.

The founder and Chief Executive Officer of Hark is Brett Adcock, an American entrepreneur who also established Archer Aviation, a business focused on crafting electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft.

The funding round was spearheaded by Parkway Venture Capital, with involvement from investors such as Nvidia, AMD Ventures, Brookfield, Intel Capital, Qualcomm Ventures, and Salesforce Ventures.

Hark is developing a novel range of AI-powered gadgets and software offerings. The business has stated that the obtained capital will be allocated to speed up the advancement of its proprietary AI models and associated technology.

The artificial intelligence device arena is becoming increasingly cutthroat. OpenAI is collaborating with designer Jony Ive to conceive its own AI-based items, Meta is overhauling its smart eyewear lineup, and Apple is engineering AI-enabled equipment, including updated AirPods, glasses, and wearable tech with cameras.

According to Brett Adcock, Hark is building a “collection of AI devices” for both personal and residential usage. He pointed out that these offerings will stand apart from current smartphones, wearable technology, and smart spectacles.

The company has not yet disclosed the precise launch timeframe for these devices, but it is anticipated that the initial products will surface shortly after the unveiling of its advanced Hark voice models, which are slated for introduction in the summer.

Adcock personally channeled $100 million of his own funds into Hark. He is also fostering Figure AI, a firm centered around humanoid robots that received a $39 billion valuation last September.
