US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that there exists a likelihood of a pact to conclude the conflict in the Middle East within days.
Bloomberg reports on this.
“There has been some headway. Even now, at this moment, efforts are still in progress,” the Secretary of State remarked.
Rubio restated that the US insists that Iran completely unblock the Strait of Hormuz and also surrender all highly enriched uranium.
“US President Donald Trump invariably favors settling such matters through talks and a diplomatic resolution. That is what we are pursuing currently. But this issue will be settled, as the President has indicated… one way or another,” the Secretary of State appended.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Bahaei commented that any system concerning the Strait of Hormuz needs to be approved among Iran, Oman, and the nations bordering the seaway, and that the United States “has no involvement in it.”
Iran affirms that it is concentrating on completing the memorandum of understanding, the country’s Foreign Ministry announced subsequent to a meeting between Iran’s chief negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi with Asim Munir, the Pakistani army leader.

Donald Trump declared notable gains in discussions concerning a peace agreement with Iran. The parties purportedly consented to the primary clauses of the memorandum, which encompasses, notably, the opening of the Strait of Hormuz and de-escalation of hostilities in the region, Trump posted in Truth Social.
“The concluding points and specifics of the arrangement are presently under deliberation and will be announced in the immediate future. Among numerous other aspects of the arrangement, the Strait of Hormuz will be opened,” Trump noted.
Based on released information, the draft agreements further stipulate the ending of military actions in the area, including the clashes in Lebanon, along with the potential releasing of approximately $25 billion in Iranian assets in exchange for stabilizing the security situation.
Individually, plans are in place to decrease the US military presence in the Strait of Hormuz and remove certain forces from Iranian frontiers. Also, within a 30-day duration after signing the memorandum, the parties must concur on the final characteristics of the nuclear agreement.
The previous day, Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu underwent a strained telephone exchange over conflicting perspectives on further warfare with Iran and the prospect of diplomatic arrangements.
