The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has prohibited federal bodies from obtaining overseas items if local alternatives exist.
Trump revealed this through his Truth Social online platform.
The US president expressed that for a long time, Washington had been diverting taxpayer funds overseas, while American laborers, industries, and supply networks were being denied assistance. Trump stated that his government would “eliminate exemption pathways” and cease acquiring international products if domestic counterparts are present.
The American president also rebuked authorities for “routinely approving permissions” for waivers on imported commodities. Moreover, Trump declared that he had endorsed EO 14392, designed to tackle deceptive branding of goods as Made in America. He underscored that the administration will demand rigorous adherence to the decree.
“No further trickery.
No more deceptive labeling.
No further defrauding the American citizenry.
“AMERICA FIRST AND FOREMOST implies PURCHASE AMERICAN!” Trump finished.
As a reminder, Trump authorized an executive order that determines a plan for arms transactions aligned with the “America First” doctrine. It compels governmental establishments to give preference to arms deals with international allies who have invested significantly in their security and hold significant standings or occupy pivotal geographical areas.
