In the Indian state of Kerala, a furious elephant caused extensive damage on the premises of a Hindu Mahavishnu shrine.
This is according to Hindustan Times reports.
The elephant had been transported to the temple for a benediction ritual. Abruptly, it turned violent, snapped its tether and charged at a nearby vehicle. The elephant gored the car with its ivory, overturned it, and crushed the driver, resulting in their death.
The creature demolished all in its vicinity for a period of two hours. The elephant was subdued using a tranquilizer gun and secured to a palm tree.
In related news, an elephant fatally crushed a zookeeper after the latter prodded it with a rod.
