US President Donald Trump communicated that the United States has imposed complete authority over crucial Iranian oil shipping lanes, successfully preventing their distribution, which has severely impacted Tehran's financial state. Furthermore, Trump issued various additional remarks concerning conflict in Iran.
He conveyed this during a dialogue with reporters.
According to Trump, the US military has struck approximately 75% of its designated targets. However, the operation was somewhat curtailed due to potential amicable settlements.
“We struck roughly 75 percent of our targets. We paused a bit early because they wished to attain some peace,” he declared.
Iranian oil embargo and monetary strain
Trump underscored that an “entirely effective” embargo is presently in effect, which has essentially brought Iran's commerce to a standstill.
“We possess an embargo that is 100 percent effective. And they have no commerce,” the US president stated.

“They desire to strike a deal. We've engaged with them, but they are unsure of who governs the country. They are in disarray,” he expressed.

The US President also offered commentary on the suggestion to unblock a key passage through which oil exports transit.
“They approached us and suggested, 'We'll consent to unblock the passage,' and all my associates rejoiced. Everyone was pleased, save for myself,” Trump recounted.
He clarified that unblocking the route would empower Iran to amass substantial earnings.
“I cautioned, hold on. If we unblock this passage, it will signify they will accrue $500 million daily. I am averse to them accruing $500 million daily until they resolve this predicament, thus I am the individual who sustained its closure,” the US president appended.
The subject of atomic weaponry
Trump emphasized that preventing the proliferation of atomic weaponry persists as a foremost concern.
“There exists nothing more dire than atomic weaponry decimating metropolises,” he articulated.
