VIDEO OF THE DAY

It is reported that Tim Cook will become executive chairman of Apple's board of directors, and his place as CEO of the company will be taken by John Turnus, senior vice president of hardware engineering. He will take office on September 1, 2026.

“John Turnus has the mind of an engineer, the soul of an innovator, and the heart to lead with integrity and honor. He is a visionary whose contributions to Apple over 25 years are too numerous to list, and he is undoubtedly the right person to lead Apple into the future. I could not be more confident in his abilities and character, and I look forward to working closely with him during this transition and in my new role as CEO,” Tim Cook said of his successor.

And John Ternos stressed that he was “full of optimism about what we can achieve in the coming years,” and promised to “be guided by the values and vision that have defined this special place (company, — Ed.) for half a century.” He said that at the company he was “fortunate to work under the leadership of Steve Jobs and to have Tim Cook as a mentor.”
