The German armaments firm Rheinmetall affirmed it holds “the highest esteem for the immense endeavors of the Ukrainian populace in their defense against Russian hostility.” The statement was disseminated on the firm’s social networking profile following CEO Armin Papperger’s remarks that undervalued the input of Ukrainian advancements.
Namely, Rheinmetall’s chief executive described drone producers as “Ukrainian homemakers” fashioning components with domestic 3D printers.
“It resembles playing with construction blocks. What is the ingenuity in Ukraine? They lack any genuine technological advancement. They originate innovations with their small drones and exclaim, ‘Impressive!’ And that’s laudable. But these are not the technological feats of Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics, or Rheinmetall,” conveyed Papperger the previous day.
Subsequently, Rheinmetall declared that “each Ukrainian citizen, regardless of gender, provides a priceless contribution.” They further underscored that Ukraine “is engaged in a remarkably effective struggle despite constrained resources,” terming it a “distinctive attribute” of the nation.
“The creative power and resolute character of the Ukrainian people serve as an inspiration for our company. We appreciate the chance to assist Ukraine using the means we possess,” the organization highlighted.
Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine’s Armed Forces will shortly possess unmanned aerial vehicles capable of functioning even in oceanic environments.
