Aleksander Lukashenko, the President of Belarus, could potentially journey to the United States, stated John Cole, the American presidential envoy in Belarus.
“We addressed a prospective journey of President Lukashenko to the United States and are going to strive to arrange it,” Cole communicated, according to BelTA.
He further added that the US expressed their regret concerning Lukashenko’s inability to be present at the Peace Council gathering that took place lately in Washington. As a result, Trump extended an invitation for him to engage in any ensuing Peace Council sessions.
“We examined this matter. President Lukashenko affirmed that he will take part in an upcoming session of the Peace Council,” the US special representative remarked.
As it was informed, Lukashenko granted amnesty to 250 individuals found guilty of “offenses of an extremist kind.” These pardons transpired during John Cole’s, Trump’s special ambassador, visit to Minsk.
