US President Donald Trump voiced several critical remarks regarding Ukraine and President Volodymyr Zelensky, addressing the ongoing conflict, penalties against Russia, and the situation in the Middle East.
During a phone conversation with NBC News, Trump indicated that he made the decision to provisionally relax certain restrictions concerning Russian petroleum, citing the necessity to stabilize the worldwide market.
“I desire the world to possess oil. I desire the world to possess oil,” declared the US president.
According to him, limitations implemented following Russia's intrusion into Ukraine in 2022 “might be” reinstated.
Addressing disapproval from certain global leaders concerning the easing of sanctions, Trump rebuked the Ukrainian president.
“I am taken aback that Zelensky does not aspire to make a settlement. Advise Zelensky to strike a bargain, because Putin stands ready for a pact,” he stated.
“It’s substantially more challenging to achieve a consensus with Zelensky,” the US president appended.

Tactical miscalculation: media reports that Ukraine offered the US interceptor drones last year, but was rejected
Earlier in the month, Volodymyr Zelenskyy proposed aiding the United States and its allies in the Middle East to counteract Iranian unmanned aerial vehicles, leveraging the Ukrainian military’s proficiency in battling Russian drones.
Ukraine has amassed noteworthy expertise in countering Shahed-type drones, which Russia actively employs for assaults on Ukrainian urban centers.
However, Trump avowed that the US has no need for such support.
“We are not in need of support. And Zelensky is the last individual we require assistance from,” he expressed.
The US President similarly declined to specify whether the US armed forces had accepted Ukrainian proposals pertaining to drone interception technologies.
Concurrently, Zelenskyy had previously conveyed that numerous Middle Eastern nations have already approached Ukraine for assistance. Against this backdrop, an Iranian official asserted that Ukraine could transform into a “legitimate target” for Iran as a consequence of its contribution in confronting Iranian drones.
US President Donald Trump had previously articulated that the United States lacks Ukraine’s aid in defending against Iranian drones. Zelenskyy characterized Trump’s declaration as “rhetoric.”
