US President Donald Trump said that the US military has sufficient experience in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and does not need Ukraine's help, despite its significant combat experience in countering drones. Trump said this in a telephone interview with Fox News, commenting on possible cooperation with Kyiv amid conflicts in the Middle East.

According to the president, the US has its own technology and resources to combat drones: “We know more about drones than anyone. We have the best drones in the world.” He also noted that Ukraine does not provide the US with assistance in countering Iranian drones, and the costs of supplying weapons through NATO are covered by the alliance and the member states themselves.
Trump's statement came amid discussions of possible cooperation between the United States and Ukraine in countering drones, including the Shahed drones, which are actively used by Russia in the war against Ukraine. Ukrainian engineers have developed inexpensive interceptor drones and UAV detection systems that have shown effectiveness on the battlefield. Experts note that Ukraine's practical experience in combating massive drone attacks is one of the largest in the world.
Previously, the Trump administration had shown no interest in Ukraine's offer of cooperation in this area. However, after the start of large-scale Iranian drone attacks in the Middle East, discussions about the possible involvement of Ukrainian experience resumed in Washington.

Ukraine continues to develop its own drone industry and countermeasures. Since the start of the full-scale war, Russia has launched tens of thousands of drones into Ukrainian territory, forcing Ukrainian military and engineers to look for cheaper and more effective ways to defend themselves. It is this practical experience that has made Ukrainian developments attractive to potential allies, some of whom have already expressed interest in cooperating with Kyiv on anti-drone technologies.
As “FACTS” reported, the other day, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said that his country would involve Ukrainian specialists to jointly combat Iranian drones that attack the Persian Gulf countries.
