UPG (Ukrainian Petrol Group) is continually growing its chain of filling stations. The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) has granted the firm permission to lease an additional 31 fuel stations, previously belonging to Privat Group’s enterprises. This determination enables UPG to enhance its management over these extra locations via leased assets, instead of direct acquisitions.
Included among these 31 locations are establishments held by 11 entities within the Privat Group: Albiland, Vertix-Mall, Angel Capital, Eurotrade Expo, Jasmi-Trade, Image Evolution, Like Invest, Perspektyva Pro, Sky Project, Sorella Oil and Taros Group. All the stations are situated within the Khmelnytskyi region. Following the finalization of these arrangements, the UPG chain will amount to 652 refueling stations.
UPG ranks as one of the leading three gas station operators in Ukraine and focuses on the distribution of fuel products. The company possesses its own logistical framework and obtains fuel directly from prominent European and American oil processing facilities. Volodymyr Petrenko is the founder of UPG.
The latter part of 2025 signified a time of vigorous growth for the organization: the filling station network experienced nearly a sixfold surge – from 87 stations in July to 529 by December. During this timeframe, 102 fresh stations were inaugurated, most of which had previously operated under the ANP and Avias banners.
The enlargement of the network coincided with a rise in the company’s tax payments: during 2025, UPG contributed UAH 19 billion to the treasury, exceeding the 2024 figure by UAH 5 billion. The workforce also expanded: employee numbers rose by 44%, exceeding 5,300 individuals, with an average of approximately 200 new hires per month.
According to the State Tax Service, the chain is positioned among the top five fuel station operators regarding average wages – UAH 33,200. For the duration spanning from January to September 2025, UPG registered earnings of UAH 30.2 billion and a net income of UAH 214 million, as per YouControl.
