Israeli Premier Benjamin Netanyahu has put forth a request to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the Israeli PM announced on Monday, aiming to deliberate on collaboration in defense against Iranian UAV attacks.

This information was disseminated by Ynet, referencing their own sources.

Ukraine's Envoy to Israel, Yevhen Korniychuk, verified to the outlet that such a solicitation had been transmitted.

He indicated that because of President Zelenskyy’s demanding agenda, the dialogue is yet to transpire. The Ukrainian representative expressed optimism that the discussions will transpire early in the week.

The news outlet pointed out that the parley will transpire given Ukraine’s considerable background in thwarting Iranian-produced UAVs and will likely address the institution of Israeli-Ukrainian partnership on this matter.

Iran had previously responded to supposed backing for Israel with Ukrainian interception UAVs. Ebrahim Azizi, leader of the Iranian parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, cautioned that if this were the case, the entirety of Ukrainian territory would evolve into “valid objectives” for assaults by Iran.

By way of reminder, President Zelenskyy had earlier disclosed that over ten nations had approached Ukraine seeking assistance in guarding against Iranian offensive drones amidst the conflict in the Middle East. Concurrently, he alluded to the necessity for instruction facilitated by Ukrainian educators.
