Putin may dare to go to war with Europe: Britain has named the conditions

Putin may decide on an open conflict with Europe only in a case of desperation, and not because of confidence in quickly achieving military goals. This is according to retired British Army Colonel Glen Grant.

“If we take Europe as a whole, it is much stronger than Russia, with the exception of the nuclear sphere. But even this issue is questionable today, because a significant part of Russian nuclear missiles is not properly maintained and is not in the best condition. Therefore, Putin will decide on a war with Europe only in a state of desperation. I do not think that he will take such a step, counting on achieving his goals easily and without any particular difficulties,” said Grant.

The colonel added that now across Europe you can see companies starting to ramp up drone production, establishing closer ties with the front lines to better understand real needs. Several countries are also increasing their military forces.

“We are already seeing this in Poland and Germany, two key countries. Finland, in turn, is expanding its military training,” Grant said. “So I think there is a growing awareness in Europe that serious changes are needed. Is this enough? I don’t think so. But it’s better than nothing.”
