Representatives for President Trump are scheduled to conduct another series of discussions involving three parties in the UAE, concerning the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

Steve Witkoff, the US President’s special envoy, together with Jared Kushner, an advisor to Donald Trump, will be present at the tripartite dialogue in Abu Dhabi on February 4.
White House spokesperson Caroline Levitt communicated this information on February 3.
“The President is maintaining his active involvement in diplomatic efforts to bring an end to this war. Consequently, Special Envoy Witkoff and Jared Kushner will attend another set of trilateral conversations in Abu Dhabi tomorrow,” Levitt stated.
She highlighted and reiterated that the previous trilateral discussions were of a landmark character.
“Never before have all three nations been able to genuinely convene at the negotiation table to advance towards a peaceful resolution. Special Envoy Witkoff, Kushner, and President Trump accomplished the seemingly impossible regarding peace in the Middle East, and I am confident they are keen to achieve the same with respect to the Russia-Ukraine war,” she conveyed.
Initial reports in the media indicated that Steve Witkoff was expected to be the sole participant from the American side at the negotiations.
What is known about the negotiations in the UAE?
Of note, the Kremlin has announced that the Russian delegation will be headed by Igor Kostyukov, the Chief of the Main Directorate of the Russian General Staff. It was also underscored that the composition of the negotiators would remain consistent with prior gatherings.
Separately, Rustem Umerov indicated that the deliberations in Abu Dhabi would be structured into two phases . Initially, a bilateral meeting with the US, including Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
Following that, a trilateral meeting will take place with Russian representatives, who are authorized to deliberate on military-political matters. The NSDC Secretary will provide a report to the President of Ukraine concerning the outcomes of these sessions.
Recently, Ukrainian President Zelensky declared that a bilateral agreement on security assurances between Ukraine and the United States is finalized .
