China has stated its disapproval of pronouncements from the White House concerning the potential application of military action against the Iranian government.

China disapproves of the declarations from US President Donald Trump threatening an assault on the Iranian government as a result of its severe crackdown on demonstrations.
This statement was delivered by the spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Mao Ning, during a press briefing, as reported by Ukrinform.
According to her statement, Beijing is against employing military power.
“We do not condone the employment of force or the menace of force and stand against meddling in the internal affairs of other nations under any justification,” Mao emphasized.
A representative from the Chinese Foreign Ministry conveyed that Beijing expresses hope that the Iranian government and its people can resolve the hardships and reestablish calm within the nation.
“We appeal to all involved parties to contribute to the reinstatement of stability and tranquility in the Middle East,” the Chinese diplomat stated.
Situation in Iran
The anti-government demonstrations in Iran, which started on December 28, have now persisted into their third week, evolving into the most substantial in almost five decades. Citizens have assembled in the streets in response to the drastic decline in the national currency’s value and the deteriorating economic landscape.
The Iranian government, under the guidance of Ayatollah Khamenei, has obstructed internet access and mobile communications since January 8. It has similarly accused the demonstrators of acting on behalf of foreign-based opposition entities and the United States. The country's public prosecutor’s office has cautioned about the application of capital punishment.
According to the accounts of human rights advocates, exceeding five hundred individuals have perished during the course of the demonstrations , which includes 48 members of the security services. Furthermore, in excess of 10,000 individuals have been taken into custody.
Donald Trump communicated the cessation of diplomatic engagement with Iran due to the severe suppression of anti-government demonstrations, and additionally urged citizens to take control of governmental properties.
