No longer trusts Putin: US president on attack on dictator's residence

Shortly before the end of the year, Russia reported a foiled drone attack on the residence of dictator Putin. Kyiv clarified that it had nothing to do with it. US intelligence services also found no evidence. US President Donald Trump does not believe that Ukraine attacked the residence of the Kremlin leader. He does not believe that this attack took place, the Republican president said in response to questions from journalists, N-TV reports. A week earlier, after a conversation with Putin, Trump criticized the allegedly planned attack.

“I don't believe this attack on Putin's residence happened. Something similar happened nearby, but it has nothing to do with this,” Trump said.

Many experts also doubt that the attack described by Russia took place as claimed.

The CIA later determined that Ukraine had not attacked Putin or any of his residences, as the media reported a few days later. This contradicted serious accusations made by Moscow.

Ukraine saw Moscow's statement as an excuse for Russia to continue the war despite ongoing peace talks and to attack government buildings in Kyiv again. The Kremlin said at the time that it hoped the United States would understand that Russia was now reconsidering its position in the talks.

However, as “FACTS” previously wrote, Russia is not stopping and, according to intelligence, is preparing provocations and terrorist attacks with human casualties in order to disrupt peace talks between Kyiv and Washington.
