A 21-year-old student from England thought she had met a scammer on social media, but he turned out to be a Nigerian prince.
A girl named Esther from Nottingham, UK, met a young man from London named Theo.
The guy won the girl's heart through correspondence, but soon told her some unpleasant news: they wouldn't be able to meet because he had to go on business to Nigeria, where he was from.

The young people called each other on the phone, but Theo refused to communicate via video.
Then Esther began to wonder if he might be a scammer. It's not uncommon for men from African countries to meet women online in order to scam them and extort money.
Concerned about her new acquaintance's behavior, the girl contacted a TV show that exposes online scammers.
The TV crew discovered that the boy's real name is Michael. Theo is his middle name.
And, most interestingly, Theo is the prince of Nigeria, which he modestly kept silent about.
He didn’t answer the girl’s calls, as he was managing three businesses and simply didn’t have time for it.
As a result, the young people met and began a relationship.
Michael said he took meeting Esther very seriously and didn't want his status to affect their relationship.
