The death toll from the Sinbad submersible sinking in Egypt has risen to seven. Another child has died during the boating excursion.
The girl's father reported the incident. She was pronounced dead on April 9.
Doctors have confirmed the death of a girl injured in the Sinbad bathyscaphe crash in Egypt, Izvestia reports.
The child died in the hospital, as journalists learned from the deceased's father.
As previously reported, Egyptian doctors placed the girl on a ventilator.
After the patient's health stabilized, they planned to continue treatment in Moscow.
However, on April 9, doctors confirmed the girl's death.
Thus, the number of passengers killed in the bathyscaphe crash increased to seven.
Let us recall that the accident became known on March 27.
The recreational bathyscaphe sank off the coast of Hurghada at around 11:00 Moscow time.
It is specified that the tragedy occurred right at the moment the passengers were boarding.
The cause is being investigated. It is known that the vessel quickly sank, along with the Russian tourists.
The Russian Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case on this incident.
