At least seven people have died after a 21-story building collapsed in Nigeria's largest city, Lagos.
The skyscraper is known to be located in the Ikoye area of this port city in the southwest of the country.
The Nigerian online news resource PM News reported on the incident, noting that at least fifty people may be trapped under the rubble.

According to this source, rescuers have so far recovered the bodies of seven dead citizens from the rubble.
There is a possibility that at least 50 people may still be trapped under the collapsed building.
It is also noted that by this point, not a single survivor had been pulled out from under the rubble of the building under construction.
Earlier, emergency services personnel evacuated several citizens who were near the scene of the incident.
The evacuees, as far as is known, were injured, including some with serious injuries.
The city police chief was present at the site of the collapsed skyscraper.
Rescuers and Red Cross representatives are currently working there.
