It was recently reported that Malawi's Vice President, Saulos Klaus Chilima, died in a plane crash.
Other passengers of the missing aircraft, the wreckage of which was discovered not long ago, also died.
The death of the high-ranking official was reported by local publication MBC Digital, citing the African country's President, Lazarus Chakwera.

Photos from the crash site have appeared on social media.
The MIA Rossiya Segodnya news agency, citing the above-mentioned sources, notes that Chilima and nine other passengers died as a result of the crash.
The head of state stated that “all passengers on board died on impact.”
According to some Malawian media reports, a hard emergency landing occurred immediately after the plane unsuccessfully attempted to land at the airport.
