In the western part of Turkey, specifically in Balikesir province, an unmanned flying machine met its end in a barren location. The drone was located by farmers, who then transferred it to the relevant authorities.
CNN Türk provides this information.
“The drone impacted the terrain in a deserted space near Salur, which is part of the Manyas district in Balikesir province. Those working the land found it. It was then handed over to the appropriate law enforcement,” the broadcast reported.
According to the details available, citizens noticing the descent of the drone, its origin currently unestablished, alerted the gendarmerie units to the episode.
It is noted that officers of the law arrived on location, ensured security was in place, and carried out a preliminary assessment of the drone.

“The unmanned aircraft, whose Russian origins are not yet confirmed, has been dispatched to Ankara for a comprehensive technical assessment,” the broadcast mentions.
As a reminder, a Russian-produced Orlan-10 drone previously crashed in Turkey on Friday, December 19. This took place in a rural setting, 50 km away from Istanbul. Turkish authorities have begun an inquiry into the Orlan-10 event.
