US President Donald Trump mentioned that Washington stands ready to initiate fresh offensives on Iran in case Tehran attempts to revive its atomic scheme or proceeds to formulate ballistic rockets.
He informed journalists regarding this on December 29, CNN conveys.
As per the head of the White House, the US is getting indications regarding the conceivable revival of Iranian atomic advancements. Should this data be verified, the United States, according to him, will act resolutely.
“I've heard that Iran is endeavoring to reactivate their atomic program. If that's the scenario, we're compelled to obliterate them. We're compelled to obliterate them,” Trump expressed preceding a conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The US President further specified what actions by Tehran could develop into a justification for renewed assaults from Washington.
“If they persist with the rockets, indeed. And if they persist with atomic weaponry? Swiftly. Okay, we will perform it absolutely. But in other instances, we will execute it promptly,” Trump emphasized.
Concurrently, he urged Iran to embrace a diplomatic avenue and revert to negotiations with the US, deeming it a considerably more logical choice.
