An innovative tech demonstration in Iran highlighted “human-like robots crafted with sophisticated technology.” It was later discovered that they were, in reality, individuals in outfits and makeup.

This information comes from The Jerusalem Post.

Video footage released online reveals that guests at the presentation are met by “androids” dressed in white suits and eyeglasses, with their clothing decorated with zeros and ones, symbolizing binary code.

Upon closer scrutiny of the “humanoids,” numerous individuals present at the exhibition discerned excessive human characteristics in their look and conduct: skin imperfections, steady respiration, and typical eye blinking.

Clips from the Iranian Kish Inox Tech Expo have become widely circulated.

As the deception was uncovered, the performers defined themselves as “a compilation of data operating collectively within a singular code.” They further stated that they were “able to execute tasks pertaining to artificial intelligence.”

According to the Iranian news portal Zoomit, Hossein Afshin, a high-ranking Iranian official in charge of advancing high-tech developments, informed functionaries on the fringes of a governmental session that the spectacle was a choice made by a private entity.

“I am only aware that a particular company implemented this for promotional reasons. Consequently, it does not raise objections and must offer a response. This initiative was not undertaken by the organizers of the Innotex Kish exhibition, and the notion of utilizing individuals as robots was not part of the exhibition’s agenda,” he asserted.

Previously in Moscow, the inaugural Russian human-like robot featuring artificial intelligence was ostentatiously unveiled. However, the intended display of the impressive potential of Russian technology culminated in a public embarrassment – the robot “Idol” spectacularly tumbled on stage.
